Last minute line-up info
Sadly due to Sune's severe back injury, The Raveonettes will not be able to perform at Pure Festival this Saturday 24/9. Mercury Music prize and Brit nominated, singer songwriter, Tom McRae has been recruited, to complete a stellar line up.A message from Sune:
"As some of you may or may not know on August 3rd I was taken to the hospital due to severe back pain. Last week I started having severe shooting pains down my right leg and had no choice but to start spinal interventional treatments. And my doctor is strongly recommending that I stay in New York and continue the treatments to avoid further exacerbating or damaging my back and potentially needing surgery.Sharin and I are very sorry to disappoint you by canceling these shows in Berlin, Hamburg, London and Denmark. I hope you understand that my physical health is the main priority at the moment."
And from Tom McRae:
"It's great to be asked to join the line-up for the Pure Festival, especially as over ten years of touring, the one thing I'm genuinely pleased to see in my dressing room after a show is a good bottle of whisky. I like to think in that time I've become a good judge of character and a good judge of whisky - the two seem to go hand-in-hand."
A weekend ticket will get you into both the Saturday and Sunday event

Opened in 1993 The Garage quickly established itself as the capital's finest indie and rock venue playing host to many bands early on in their careers. Playing a show at The Garage became something of a right of passage, with among others the Arctic Monkeys playing their first London gig at the venue. Following an extensive refurbishment, the building capacity space will increase its capacity to 800 with 600 to the main room and 150 and 50 to the Upstairs and Mini Bar respectively. In the new configuration customers will be able to move freely between Upstairs and the main space making it an ideal venue for club events.
