With GlobalGathering 2011 now a distant memory of the past it is time to look onwards and upwards to 2012 which is why GlobalGathering are very excited to announce that 2012 tickets are now on sale

GlobalGathering - the UK’s most diverse and progressive electronic music festival today announces additions to the line-up for the 2012 event, taking the list of acts confirmed to undeniable levels of greatness.

The festival returns to Long Marston Airfield, Stratford Upon Avon on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th July for its 12th year, featuring headline performances from Tinie Tempah, Chase & Status, Armin van Buuren, Skrillex and Friendly Fires.

The first new name to be announced, off the back of his break out single Are You Not Entertained is Dot Rotten. The South London grime artist, who was nominated for the BBC’s Sound of 2012 poll makes his GlobalGathering debut in style this year and is set to tear up the Main Stage.

GlobalGathering are also pleased to today announce two new stages to add to the list of heavyweight hosts set to storm Long Marston Airfield. The first, joining the likes of UKF Bass Culture, Hospitality, Rinse and Visionquest are Birmingham-based promoters Ec-lectricity. The Ec-lectricity Presents stage will showcase their knack of breaking down musical barriers, combining this with top-notch event production on the brand new outdoor stage featuring mind blowing LED visuals whilst bringing the very best electronic music out there across the genre spectrum.

Leading the Ec-lectricity Presents charge will be Tech House titan James Zabiela, alongside the indefinable outfit behind one of this year’s biggest dance floor bangers yet, Get Out Of My Head – Redlight. Experimental dub label Hessle Audio will bring Pearson Sound, Ben UFO and Pangaea to proceedings, whilst versatile breakbeat operator Breakage, and DJ and Producer Mosca – whose influences range from dancehall to tech house – will reflect the mashed-up genres on offer from Ec-lectricity. Also playing the arena that’s sure to have every type of dance fan paying it a visit over the weekend are Jackmaster, along with Roses Gabor (Live), Rockwell and George Fitzgerald.

Also announced today, the House stage will offer up anthem after dance anthem from world-renowned purveyors of the finest party songs around. One of the brightest new lights on the house scene, 22-year old Nicky Romero, makes his GlobalGathering debut this year. The Dutchman has already collaborated with the likes of Fedde le Grand and David Guetta.

Joining Romero is Tommy Trash. The larger-than-life personality famed for his riotous live shows is a self-confessed mixing machine, with his work being given the nod by the likes of Armand Van Helden, Moby, Steve Aoki and Swedish House Mafia vs. Knife Party. Also on the bill and keeping the energy in the House arena high will be banana and champagne loving Swedes Dada Life – sure to stay true to their motto “Big tunes, no frills.” R3hab and Rob Guson complete the bill.

With plenty more surprises up its sleeves for 2012, GlobalGathering will be continuing its tradition of upping its offering and improving the experience year-on-year – developing the festival layout, bringing audiences the best in new electronic music first, offering up staggering new production concepts and comprehensive lineups.

A State Of Trance promises to bring not only the best in trance music, but a variety of cutting-edge sounds, broadcasting live for the very first time from GlobalGathering this summer.

UKF BASS CULTURE
Advocates of bass music spanning dubstep, drum and bass, dance and electronic music both in the UK and worldwide, UKF Bass Culture has literally stampeded on the London underground music scene and is notorious for some of the best nights in London. Set to host the biggest indoor arena at GlobalGathering, UKF present man of the moment Skrillex.

METROPOLIS & DIGITAL SOUNDBOY
Bringing together the biggest sounds in drum and bass, event brand Metropolis and record label Digital Soundboy (set up by original drum and bass pioneers Shy FX), promise to bring the most forward thinking sounds of the underground music scene. Whilst Metropolis is best known for its groundbreaking and genre defying music events, Digital Soundboy hold some of the biggest and best names to come out of the bass music scene.

RINSE
The capital’s most influential radio station is the number one ambassador for the British underground music scene. With 16 years broadcast experience, Rinse FM combines the cream of the UK dubstep, grime and funky scenes.

GODSKITCHEN
Godskitchen has grown over the years from humble beginnings into the UK’s most influential dance institution, overtaking some of the UK’s longest running dance brands in the World to become the premier dance name on the planet. Since the early nineties, Godskitchen has been evolving and spiraling to reach new heights raising the bar in dance music production.

VISIONQUEST
Record label Visionquest, based around DJs and producers Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Shaun Reeves and Lee Curtiss, are one of the most innovative and exciting breeds to come out of Detroit in a generation. Whilst firmly focused on the deeper sound of electro, techno and minimal techno developed, their very different musical backgrounds bring nothing but the best in spectral sounds.

HOSPITALITY
Hospitality is the worldwide club event of top UK D+B imprint Hospital Records. From humble beginnings Hospitality has grown to become a true titan of the scene – known for its feel good music policy, show-stopping DJs and a friendly, up for it crowd. As well as London events Hospitality also has shows all over the UK and the World including regular parties in Brighton, Bristol, Nottingham, Sheffield, Liverpool and also one off shows everywhere from Ibiza to Tokyo. Hospitality brings together bass heavy music, a friendly atmosphere and high quality production to create one of the best clubbing experiences to be had anywhere in the world.

TOOLROOM KNIGHTS
The club nights, based around Toolroom Records’ and Mark Knight's distinctive sound, bring the underground sound of the label to the overground, hosting parties at key venues across the UK and Europe, creating a unique party atmosphere.

Since their inception in 2005, Ec-lectricity have delivered high quality events with levels of production that are second to none. Genre-busting, they only book the leading tastemakers that shape their respective scene alongside the best up and coming names to look out for.
