Clement Marfo and the Frontline and Angel will join Wretch 32 to perform at the exclusive launch show at London’s Koko on Thursday 1st December where the rest of the final nominees will be announced.

Having recently supported the likes of Plan B, Dizzee Rascal and Florence + the Machine, 7 piece hip-hop collective Clement Marfo and the Frontline have already earned themselves a devout live following. Formed only two years ago in South London the Warner Brothers Records signed act have since made a huge impact on the UK urban scene and with this week’s release of new single ‘Overtime’ they are set to smash into the consciousness of music fans everywhere.

'Thoroughly overwhelmed by this news! This year has been a positive start and we are honestly privileged to be acknowledged by MTV for doing what it is we love to do. 2012 is going to be a flourishing year for British music.' said Clement Marfo.

23 year-old West London singer-songwriter Angel has penned hit tracks for the likes of Roll Deep, Pixie Lott and Jason Derulo while honing his own unique sound. His soulful vocals and distinctive rapping style have already caused waves of excitement online and with a storming album featuring Wiley and Wretch 32 waiting in the wings and heavy support from the likes of Trevor Nelson, Angel is one of the hottest new UK talents around.

'It's an honour to be nominated by MTV. This has motivated me to work harder.’ said Angel.

Former MTV Brand New nominee Wretch 32 will headline the show at Koko, returning to where it all started for him last year. It promises to be a show-stopping night with all three artists performing and the full ‘Brand New for 2012’ list of nominees being announced.

In the last 4 years MTV Brand New has identified international stars such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber & Ke$ha before their debut releases whilst also picking up top British music talent Tinie Tempah, Adele, Florence + The Machine, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Friendly Fires, White Lies, Wretch 32 & Labrinth at the very start of their recording careers.

Wretch 32

Since his nomination in MTV’s ’10 For 11’, 26 year old Wretch 32 (aka Jermaine Scott) has been seen as one of the biggest music success stories of the year, travelling a long way from the times when he sold mixtapes in and around his estate in Tottenham to delivering a top 5 smash with debut single ‘Traktor’, a no. 2 anthem ‘Unorthodox’ (featuring Example), a top 5 critically acclaimed album with ‘Black and White’, and the overwhelming success of the chart-topping, ‘Don’t Go’.

As he gets set to release his new single ‘Forgiveness’, Wretch32 returns to the MTV Brand New Stage on December 1st 2011 as festival smash and major star.
